Introduction to the Certificat d'Universitķ en Endodontie

The Certificat d'Universitķ en Endodontie is a university certificate program offered by the Centre de Formation Continue en Santķ et Sciences de la vie, Facultķ de Mķdecine, at the Universitķ Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). This program aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of endodontics and to perfect their clinical practice in this discipline.


Objectives of the Program

The general objective of this certificate program is to enable participants to acquire advanced knowledge in endodontics, as well as to improve their clinical practice in this field. The program covers current knowledge in endodontics and operative protocols for endodontic treatment, requiring additional training provided during the certificate program.


Structure of the Program

This formation is organized over two years of teaching, coupled with clinical internships, dispensed within the Academic Hospital Erasme and the CHU St Pierre. The program includes 19 modules, with 9 modules in the first year and 10 modules in the second year.

Admission Criteria

This university formation is open to individuals holding a Master's or Licentiate degree in Dental Sciences. The diploma must be recognized by the Belgian State and allow the practice of dentistry in Belgium.


Target Audience

The program is aimed at dentists with a interest in endodontics who wish to learn, deepen, or perfect their theoretical and practical knowledge.


Duration and Schedule

The program lasts two years, with 2 days of clinical presence (Tuesday and Wednesday) and half a day of courses (Friday afternoon, every other week). Certain congresses will be mandatory and will take place outside of these compulsory attendance days.


Evaluation

The teaching is based on ex-cathedra courses and a set of methods that require the active participation of students. The evaluation will be based on attendance at courses and an examination of knowledge at the end of the two years.
