Program Overview


Introduction to the 7th Summer Sports Camp

The 7th Summer Sports Camp is a six-week program designed for children aged 6-16, taking place from June 16 to July 25, 2025. The camp is organized by the University of Patras and aims to provide a fun and educational experience for children, focusing on sports, health, and environmental awareness.


Objectives

The main objectives of the Summer Sports Camp are:


  • To improve the physical condition of children through various sports activities
  • To develop their skills and knowledge in different sports
  • To promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle
  • To provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children to socialize and learn

Program Structure

The camp will operate from Monday to Friday, with the following schedule:


  • 07:30-08:45: Arrival and morning gathering
  • 08:45-09:30: Breakfast and morning snack
  • 09:30-12:30: Sports activities and training sessions
  • 12:30-13:15: Lunch break
  • 13:15-14:15: Creative activities, games, and relaxation
  • 14:15-15:00: Departure

Sports Activities

The camp will offer a variety of sports activities, including:


  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Athletics
  • Tennis
  • Table tennis
  • Chess
  • Cycling (for older children)
  • Beach volleyball
  • Swimming

Additional Activities

In addition to sports activities, the camp will also offer:


  • Healthy eating and nutrition workshops
  • Environmental awareness and outdoor activities (e.g., trekking, gardening)

Safety and Supervision

The camp will have a team of experienced coaches, trainers, and supervisors to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. The camp will also have a first-aid station and a nurse on site.


Fees and Registration

The registration fee for the camp is as follows:


  • 1 child: 80 euros per week (non-members), 72 euros per week (members)
  • 2 children: 150 euros per week (non-members), 135 euros per week (members)
  • 3 children: 210 euros per week (non-members), 185 euros per week (members)

Discounts

Discounts are available for:


  • Members of the University of Patras athletic clubs and community
  • Siblings (10% discount for each additional child)
  • Long-term registration (5% discount for 4-week registration, 10% discount for 6-week registration)

What to Bring

Participants are required to bring:


  • Sports equipment (e.g., soccer ball, basketball, tennis racket)
  • Comfortable clothing and shoes
  • Sunscreen and hat
  • Water bottle
  • Snacks (if required)

Medical Care

The camp will have a medical team on site, including a doctor and a nurse. Participants are required to provide medical information and consent prior to registration.
