Program Overview
Program Details
The program details are outlined as follows:
Enrollment and Course Registration
- Enrollment of incoming students takes place within deadlines set by the Department of Biology Assembly and announced on the program's website, with electronic registration.
- For extraordinary reasons, enrollment is possible within a month after the deadline, with a decision by the Department Assembly, following a justified application by the interested party.
- Students are required to renew their enrollment every semester.
- Renewal is done electronically for the winter and spring semesters of each academic year, within deadlines set by the Department Assembly.
Suspension of Studies
- Suspension of studies can be done for a period not exceeding two consecutive semesters, for proven serious reasons, after a decision by the Assembly, which is taken following an application by the interested student.
- During the suspension of studies, all benefits are revoked and are reinstated upon the end of the suspension.
- The semesters of suspension of student status are not counted in the predicted maximum duration of regular studies.
Extension of Studies
- In exceptional cases (indicatively: illness, serious family reasons, military service, force majeure), an extension of studies of up to one year can be granted, following a justified decision by the Department Assembly.
Loss of Student Status
- A student who does not renew their enrollment and does not attend classes or conduct research for two consecutive semesters loses their student status and is deleted from the program's records.
Terms of Study
- The terms of study included in the present Study Regulation, which is posted on the program's website of the Department of Biology, are accepted by each candidate who takes notice of this Regulation and, upon enrollment in the program, will submit to the Department's Secretariat a statement of responsibility with which they will commit to observing this paragraph.
