Course Details

One of the courses offered in the program is ARC_3501 THEORY OF ARCHITECTURE 1. This course introduces students to the particular modes of thinking and producing in architecture, and to the mutations that occur under the influence of external factors and ideological approaches.


Course Description

The course covers the specificity of architecture as a discipline, types of knowledge converging into architectural thought and production, and the position of architectural discourse in relation to art, science, technology, and politics. It also explores the language analogy in architecture, the idea of order, form and content, image and idea, and architectural meaning in context.
