Introduction to OpenYUFE

OpenYUFE is a program that allows students to create their own curriculum by choosing from academic courses, language courses, and other activities offered by 10 partner universities. With the dean's approval, students can count the courses taken during the program towards their studies.

Program Details

• Students can study in 10 different countries and languages.
• They can live in one country, learn a language in another, and work as a volunteer in a third country.
• The program can be completed virtually.
• The program can be realized for a maximum of 4 semesters.
• A catalog of all activities is available on the YUFE Virtual Campus.

Eligibility Criteria

• Any student studying at UMK with a minimum English language proficiency of B2 can apply to the program.

Application Process

• Students can register for the program at any time during the year through the YUFE Virtual Campus.
• The registration process involves 3 steps:
  • Creating an account on the YUFE Virtual Campus
  • Filling out the application form
  • Proceeding with the next steps

YUFE Certificate

• The YUFE Certificate is a document that showcases a student's academic and personal development.
• It is a comprehensive picture of a student's growth and is considered more than just a piece of paper.

Recognition of YUFE Courses

• Students who wish to have their YUFE courses counted towards their degree program should submit an application to the dean responsible for student affairs at their faculty.
• The application should include a transcript of records from the university where the student studied and possibly syllabi of the chosen courses.
