Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholars
The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service offers competitive positions within the Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholar program to outstanding Ohio University students. These scholar positions allow students to expand their classroom experience with hands-on learning, working directly with Voinovich School Faculty and Professional Staff on projects throughout Ohio and beyond.

Program Details
Over the past 20 years, more than 250 students have been selected as Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholars. The program provides students with real-world projects and research opportunities, allowing them to develop invaluable skills in communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement.
Employment Requirements
Following an interview process, Scholars will be assigned to work with Voinovich School faculty and professional staff. The requirements include:
- 10 hours per week
- 15 weeks per semester
- Fall and Spring Semesters
- $15.00 per hour

Interested students are required to provide:
- Cover letter
- Resume
- DARS report
- TWO academic writing samples Applications open January 1, 2026, and for full consideration, students should apply by February 28, 2026.
