Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Accelerated Graduate Pathways
Program Overview
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Accelerated Graduate Pathways
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offers two Accelerated Graduate Pathways, allowing students to combine both bachelor's and master's degree studies and earn their degrees more quickly. These programs are competitive and suitable for qualified and motivated individuals.
How It Works
The Accelerated Graduate Pathways provide outstanding students the opportunity to make simultaneous progress toward both the Bachelor of Science and a graduate degree in engineering. Undergraduate students admitted to the Pathway can take up to 16 credit hours of coursework toward a graduate degree, applying up to 9 credit hours of specified coursework toward the Bachelor of Science as well.
Eligible Programs
- Electrical Engineering and Cybersecurity Engineering undergraduates can use this pathway to complete some coursework towards the:
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MS Thesis track or MS Non-Thesis track)
- Doctor of Philosophy: Specialization in Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence undergraduates can use this pathway to complete some coursework towards the:
- Master of Science in Computer Science (MS Thesis track or MS Non-Thesis track)
- Doctor of Philosophy: Specialization in Computer Science
Program Benefits
The Accelerated Graduate Pathways enable more rapid completion of the master's or Ph.D. A student who takes full advantage of the pathway can typically complete the M.S. within one year after completing their Bachelor of Science. The expectation is that students will enroll in a graduate degree program after completing the Bachelor of Science.
