Introduction to the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP)
The College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP) at Beijing University of Technology offers a comprehensive education in architecture, focusing on sustainable development and the integration of digital and intelligent technologies.
Cultivation Characteristics
The Architecture major aims to cultivate innovative talents who meet the needs of national economic development and the construction and governance of the capital. Students are expected to master a solid theoretical foundation in architecture, along with gaining professional knowledge and hands-on design skills. The program emphasizes creative thinking, interdisciplinary awareness, an international perspective, social responsibility, and teamwork.

Program Accreditation
The program began enrolling undergraduate students in 1980 and has since passed several rounds of national professional education accreditation. It has been designated as a Featured Major Construction Site by both the Ministry of Education and Beijing, and was selected as a pilot program for the Ministry of Education's National Excellence Engineers Education and Training Program. In 2020, it was selected as a National First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Site.
