B.S. in Computer Science

The B.S. in Computer Science program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in computer science, including the theoretical foundations, practical skills, and knowledge of computer systems and software.


Program Requirements

The program requires a minimum of 120 credits, which includes:


  • 3 credits of CS 100: Roadmap to Computing
  • 4 credits of MATH 111: Calculus I
  • 3 credits of ENGL 101: English Composition: Introduction to Academic Writing
  • 3 credits of PHYS 111: Physics I

  • 0 credits of FYS SEM: First-Year Student Seminar

Minimum Grades

  • Prerequisite grade requirement for Computer Science majors: B or better in CS 100, C or better in all CS courses that serve as prerequisites in a sequence of courses

Co-op

  • A GPA of 2.7 is required to enroll in co-op
  • Students may use up to 6 credits of co-op toward their general elective requirements
