Program Overview

The Occupational Safety and Health Engineering program is designed in accordance with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), which sponsors the program. Through coursework and research, individuals are exposed to all of the principal areas of concern to the entry-level safety professional, including how technology and hazardous materials affect the safety of the workplace.


Program Details

The Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering program educates engineers in the specialty of occupational safety and health. Upon graduation, students are able to assume both the technical and managerial responsibilities of safety professionals.


Admission Requirements

  • An accredited bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific field is normally required.

Program Features

  • The program is one of a handful offered in the United States and the only master's-level program in New Jersey.
  • NIOSH offers a limited number of stipends and tuition remission grants to qualified students.
