Center for Pre-College Programs

The Center for Pre-College Programs offers a variety of programs for students, educators, and families. One of the programs is the FSI - Forensic Science Initiative.

FSI - Forensic Science Initiative

The FSI - Forensic Science Initiative uses Forensic Science to prepare high school students for STEM college work and careers. Students spend 5 weeks on the NJIT campus in the summer participating in hands-on activities in:

• Forensic Biology
• Forensic Chemistry
• Crime Scene Investigation (in custom-built labs)
• Forensic Law
• Field research conducted at various sites in the Greater Metropolitan Area College prep activities, lunch, and on-campus recreation are included.

Eligibility

The program is open to rising high school Seniors who will be taking either NJIT FRSC 201 Introduction to Forensic Science or a high school forensics course during their senior year.

Program Details

• Summer 2026 Dates: July 6th August 6th, Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
• Registration fee: $50
• Tuition: $1550
• Some scholarships are available.
