Program Overview

Introduction to the Double Degree Program

The MA in Politics and Public Administration offers a unique range of double degree options. This program allows students to spend their first year of studies in Constance and then go abroad during the second year of studies.


General Application Deadline

The general application deadline for the MA programme is the 15th of May of every year.

Please note the following:


  • The MA programme in Politics and Public Administration includes several exchange options.
  • The application for the MA programme and the application for a double degree exchange are two independent processes.
  • The application for a double degree exchange within Europe can be done through this program.
  • The application deadline is 1st of February.
  • After successful selection by the department, students will have to hand in their documents at the partner university in order to complete the enrolment there.
  • Tuition fees may apply.

Double Degree Programmes in Europe - Selection Process

The application deadline is 1st of February. Applicants have to fill out the application form. After completion, applicants have to confirm their submission. In case that more applicants than places available apply for a specific cooperation, the selection committee might invite students to a personal interview. The interview will take place within two weeks after the application deadline.


Study Structure

Usually, students who have been admitted to the general MA in Politics and Public Administration spend their first year of studies in Constance and go abroad during the second year of studies. The MA thesis is then written at the partner university, under co-supervision of scholars from both institutions.
