Introduction to the Master's Programme

The University of Konstanz offers a Master's programme in Computer Science for Industry and Business. This programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in computer science, with a focus on industry and business applications.

Programme Structure

The programme consists of a combination of theoretical and practical courses, including a prep-course and additional study material. The prep-course is a one-week introductory course that provides students with a refresher and a summarized overview of core topics in computer science. The additional study material includes recorded lectures with English subtitles from the basic BSc Computer Science programme, which can be used to fill any missing knowledge gaps or refresh existing knowledge.

Lecture Series

The department offers a lecture series every winter semester, where all departmental research groups give short presentations to introduce themselves, their research activities, and projects to new students. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the department and its research focus.

Orientation Programme

The International Office offers an orientation programme (OriPro Master) for international degree-seeking students. This programme supports students with their start into student life, familiarizing them with the German academic system, campus life, and dealing with formalities. The programme also provides an opportunity for students to make friends from all over the world.
