  • The program is designed for undergraduate students in the Materials Science and Engineering College at East China University of Science and Technology.
  • Students will spend the first six semesters studying at East China University of Science and Technology and the last two semesters at the Berlin University of Technology.
  • The program focuses on the major "Materials Science and Engineering" (Werkstoffwissenschaften).

Eligibility and Application

  • The program is open to students from the Materials Science and Engineering College, specifically those majoring in Polymer Materials and Engineering or Composite Materials and Engineering.
  • Students must apply voluntarily and meet the requirements set by both universities.
  • Two students will be selected for the program each year.

Program Structure

  • First Six Semesters: Students will study at East China University of Science and Technology, completing all required courses and achieving qualified grades.
  • Last Two Semesters: Students will study at the Berlin University of Technology, completing the required courses and graduating with a bachelor's degree from East China University of Science and Technology.
  • Graduation and Degree: Upon completing the program, students will receive a bachelor's degree and may apply for a master's degree at the Berlin University of Technology if they meet the required standards.

  • Language of Instruction: The first six semesters will be taught in Chinese, and the last two semesters will be taught in German.
  • German Language Training: Students will participate in 1200 hours of German language training during their first six semesters.

  • Tuition Fees: Students will not pay tuition fees to the Berlin University of Technology.
  • German Language Training Fees: Students will cover the cost of German language training.
  • Living Expenses: Students will be responsible for their living expenses, including accommodation, insurance, and food, during their stay in Germany.

Management and Coordination

  • The program will be managed by East China University of Science and Technology and the Berlin University of Technology.
  • The Sino-German Institute of East China University of Science and Technology will be responsible for coordinating the program, including German language training, pre-admission exams, and visa applications.
