Military Laser Safety Course
Overview
This course is designed to train Laser Safety Officers (LSO) from all services and MOD departments and their range contractors. A certificate will be issued to students who complete it, which is mandatory for any LSO appointed by MOD.
Course Structure
- 2 days: lectures and written test at the end (30 minutes)
What You Will Learn
This course is the only course that can grant a certificate of competence which MoD recognise as a requirement of being a Laser Safety Officer.
Who Should Attend
- All MoD Laser Safety Officers or those who wish to become an LSO
- Suppliers of lasers to MoD who need to create a laser safety clearance paper
- A range staff from ranges that use lasers.
Accreditation
DOSG mandate and sponsor this course and the resulting competence certificate.
