Program Overview
MSc by Research in Environmental Science and Agrifood
The MSc by Research in Environmental Science and Agrifood is a 12-month, 100% research program that allows candidates to complete a novel research project in a topic within the broad remit of environmental science or agrifood. The program is designed for candidates who want to achieve their MSc degree by developing a desk/laboratory/field-based research project.
How You Study
Postgraduate research programs involve independent study and research. Students will benefit from personal academic development throughout the process, with support from supervisors and wider research activities. There are no examinations on this program; the final outcome will be a research thesis.
Supervision
Students will meet regularly with supervisors and will be provided with guidance around the nature of research, the standards expected, and support in developing into a competent researcher.
Wider Research Activities
Students are encouraged to attend research seminars from faculty and visiting academics and engage in a wide range of research and skills training opportunities to support their studies. There is also an Early Career Researcher Network that provides a supportive community and forum for sharing research.
