Digital and Technology Solutions Apprenticeship MSc
The Digital and Technology Solutions Apprenticeship MSc programme is a unique and innovative course that focuses on developing knowledge to design and develop digital technologies and solutions in areas such as AI/Machine learning, digital twins, AR/VR, data analytics, and data management across sectors that rely on complex products and services.

Course Details
The course is structured to allow maximum benefit from learning with minimum time away from the working environment. It is composed of three core parts:
- Eight compulsory modules spread between months 1 and 16
- Group project between months 6 and 12
- Individual practical project (IPP for apprentices) / individual research project (IRR for non-apprentices) between months 14 and 24
Modules
The following are the compulsory modules for the course:
- Adaptive Visualisation: This module aims to provide the ability to design and develop digital visualisation platforms that enable agile decision-making capability.
- Digital Integration and System Testing: This module will provide the skills to integrate a set of digital technologies and solutions for a wider application and offer the means to test the integrated solution for assurance purposes.
- Introduction to Digital Engineering: This module provides the skills to choose and justify new digital technologies and solutions by implementing appropriate requirements analysis, technology road-mapping, and strategy development.
- Digital Twins: This module focuses on providing the skills to design and develop federated digital twin systems that are integrated in terms of their data, models, and visualisation.
- Integrated Data Management: This module provides the skills to design and develop integrated data management approaches and systems to address data-related challenges.
- Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence: This module will provide the processes to design and develop artificial intelligence (AI) based approaches to be trained for data analytics on a spectrum of data types.
- Digitally Enabled Servitisation: This module will enable you to compare and contrast alternative approaches to servitisation and offer approaches involving digital technologies and processes to design and deliver servitisation approaches.
- Digital Business Analysis: This module will provide the skills to build a system simulation architecture and associated model for agile decision making within an enterprise context.
- Digital Business & Enterprise Systems: The module aims to provide a systematic understanding of the requirements and processes for the creation of digital technologies and their adoption into businesses to enable digital transformation.

Entry Requirements
- A first or second-class UK Honours degree in a relevant science, engineering, or related discipline, or the international equivalent of these UK qualifications.
- Alternative relevant qualifications, together with significant experience, may be considered.
- English language requirements: Most applicants meet our English language requirements by having previously obtained a higher education level qualification from a UK university.
Fees and Funding
- Apprenticeship levy: Ł21,000 (this includes tuition fees and endpoint assessment only)
- Under the Apprenticeship Levy scheme, employers can fund apprenticeships for any new and current staff with the right to work in the UK and whose main place of work is England.
- Eligible organisations will be able to use their Apprenticeship Levy to cover the cost of the programme.
