Science, Management and Service Engineering Degree
The Science, Management and Service Engineering degree is a four-year program that provides students with a comprehensive education in the field of service engineering. The program is designed to train qualified professionals for the production and management of services throughout the life cycle.
Basic Information
The degree is offered in a face-to-face format at the Madrid Campus, with a total of 240 credits. The program is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills in areas such as business, economics, marketing, computer science, and service management.
Objectives
The objectives of the program are to train qualified professionals to produce and manage services throughout the life cycle, from conception to post-sale. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive education in the field of service engineering, including innovation in services, conception, design, construction, and implementation of services.
Competences
The program is designed to provide students with a range of competences, including:
- General competences:
- Know and understand the fundamentals of the science of services
- Know and apply the scientific-basic and mathematical foundations in the field of services
- Understand and apply the fundamentals of information and communication technologies to the field of services
- Understand and apply the principles of service management and engineering to different professional sectors
- Specific competences:
- Capacity to solve mathematical problems that may arise in the field of Science, Management and Service Engineering
- Capacity to understand and apply the basic principles of statistics, operational research, and optimization
- Capacity to understand the concept of service and its historical evolution
Minimum Stay Requirements
The program has a minimum stay requirement of eight years for full-time students, with a maximum of two additional years for part-time students. Students must pass a minimum of two subjects in the first year, and part-time students must pass at least one subject in their first academic year.
Access and Registration
Access to the program requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the passing of a test. The program has a limited number of places available, with 45 places offered for new admission at the Madrid Campus.
Validation with FP Qualifications
The program allows for validation with FP qualifications, including Superior Technician in Administration of Network Computer Systems, Higher Technician in Administration and Finance, and Senior Technician in Management Assistance.
Training Itinerary
The program provides a comprehensive training itinerary, including access to all university teaching guides, material resources, and external internships.
Quality Guarantee
The program has a quality guarantee system in place, including a manual of the internal quality assurance system, composition of the commission, and results report.
Improvement Actions
The program has a range of improvement actions in place, including annual analysis of indicators, preparation of a report, and implementation of improvement plans.
Renewal of Accreditation
The program has undergone a renewal of accreditation process, which includes a self-assessment report, external visit, and final assessment.
