University Microcredential in Humanitarian Logistics
Presentation
Humanitarian logistics is essential in crisis and disaster management, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of aid to affected populations. In a world increasingly vulnerable to natural disasters, armed conflicts, and humanitarian crises, the need for trained humanitarian logistics professionals is more critical than ever.
Objectives
- To train professionals capable of planning, implementing, and managing logistics operations in humanitarian contexts.
- Provide theoretical and practical knowledge on the humanitarian supply chain, inventory management, transportation, and distribution of aid.
- To train in the use of technology-based tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), planning and coordination processes, RPA tools, and indicator monitoring.

- Introduction to Humanitarian Action: 1.8 credits
- Introduction to Supply Chain: 2.2 credits
- Operational logistics: 3.6 credits

Recipients
Students or professionals in the sector interested in acquiring knowledge in humanitarian logistics, whether or not they have a university degree. As it is a microcredential, no prior MECES level qualification or other access requirements are required.

Documentation to Attach, Forms, and Place of Delivery
The applicant will present all the scanned documentation, in the formats allowed. The documentation required includes:
- National Identity Document or equivalent
- University degree of the studies that give access to the requested postgraduate degree
- Curriculum vitae
- Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format
- Any other document required by the Academic Department of Continuing Education for acceptance
For students with foreign qualifications, additional documentation may be required, including a passport or residence card, foreign higher education degree, and other relevant documents.
Microcredentials
Microcredentials are intended for students with or without a previous official university degree. These courses allow for the certification of learning results linked to short-term training activities. Successful completion of these courses through the corresponding assessment tests will entitle the student to obtain a Certificate with the name of the respective course.
