Program Overview
Presentation
The Chair of Intelligence Services and Democratic Systems, together with the Carlos III University of Madrid, offers the 25th edition of the Master's in Continuing Education for Intelligence Analysts. This program has been recognized as the national benchmark for postgraduate training in Intelligence Analysis.
Objectives
The Master's Degree in Intelligence Analyst aims to train professionals capable of working as analysts in intelligence production units, especially in the field of competitive and business intelligence. The program focuses on reducing uncertainty in the decision-making process and positioning institutions and companies better and safer against their competitors.
Competences
The program provides students with the following competences:
- Identify and analyze the information needs of an organization linked to its strategic objectives
- Obtain, process, and interpret precious information resources to satisfy information needs
- Apply techniques, regulations, and auxiliary instruments necessary for the production of strategic analysis
- Manage information technologies essential for obtaining open information, preparing reports, and managing and protecting knowledge
- Plan, design, and implement intelligence units, preferably in the field of economic and business intelligence
- Plan, design, and carry out a project to obtain and analyze strategic information within an intelligence organization

Recipients
The program is designed for university graduates and intelligence and security professionals, as well as members of State Security Forces and Bodies and the Armed Forces. Exceptionally, students without a previous university degree may be admitted if they have work experience in the world of intelligence and analysis and pass a prior selection interview.

The program has a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 students.

The program has an internal quality assurance system, which includes a manual and a composition of the commission.
Results Report
The program provides a results report, which includes quantitative information on the results obtained in the follow-up of the Master's degree.
General Information Collection Plan
The program has a general information collection plan, which includes surveys on student profiles, teacher evaluations, and degree satisfaction.
Improvement Actions
The program's Quality Assurance System establishes that the degree's Quality Assurance Commission will annually analyze the information derived from the degree's indicators and prepare a report that will include improvement plans if the results so indicate.
Duration and Development
The program is offered in-person, with 60 ECTS credits, and 430 contact hours. It takes place at the URJC Vicálvaro Campus, on Fridays from 16:00 to 21:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00. The program starts on October 17, 2025, and ends on December 19, 2026.
Reservation of Place and Enrollment
The pre-registration period is from June 1 to October 12, 2025, and the enrollment deadline is from September 19 to October 12, 2025. The title price is 7,000, and there is a possibility of a scholarship. A pre-registration fee of 500 is required, which is included in the total cost of the course.
