Program Overview


Introduction to the University Program

The Rey Juan Carlos University, in collaboration with the Quirónsalud Protontherapy Center, presents a comprehensive course on Physics, Technology, and Oncology in Proton Therapy. This interdisciplinary program is designed to provide specialists with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan and apply proton therapy, covering both foundational and advanced topics in the field.


Objectives

The primary objective of the course is to train personnel capable of planning and applying proton therapy, focusing on the physical, technical, and oncological aspects of treatment with proton beams. The program aims to equip students with the latest trends in technologies and clinical applications, ensuring they are well-versed in the world of proton therapy.


Program Details

  • Duration and Development: The course is offered in-person, with a duration of 26 contact hours, taking place from November 17, 2025, to November 21, 2025, at the Móstoles Campus of the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Quirónsalud Protontherapy Center.
  • Modality: In-person.
  • Number of Credits: 2.6.
  • Place of Delivery: Móstoles Campus, Rey Juan Carlos University, and Quirónsalud Protontherapy Center.
  • Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

Admission Criteria

This training is aimed at students with a previous MECES 3 level qualification in:


  • Physical Sciences, with specialization in medical physics.
  • Medicine and Surgery. If spaces are available, students with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and experience in the sector may also be considered.

Selection Criteria

In the event of excessive applications, selection will be based on:


  1. Previous experience in the sector (30%).
  2. Motivation and possibility of professionally applying the acquired knowledge (70%).
