University Extension Course: CISCO CCNA V7
Presentation
The CISCO CCNA V7 university extension course is designed to train students in the fundamentals of computer networks. The course covers the basic aspects of switching and routing, as well as different network services and their maintenance.
Objectives
The main objective of the course is to prepare students for the CCNA v7 certification (CCNA 200-301 exam). The course follows the syllabus and material proposed by Cisco for the CCNA v7 certification in its modules 1, 2, and 3.
Programme
The course consists of three modules:
- Module 1 Introduction to Networks (ITN)
- Module 2 Fundamentals of Switching, Routing and Wireless Communications (SRWE)
- Module 3 Enterprise Networks, Security and Automation (ENSA)
Recipients
The course is open to students with no previous knowledge of computer networks, although it is desirable to have completed a subject on Computer Networks.
Selection Criteria
In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of places offered, a selection will be made based on the following criteria:
- Student enrolled in the 3rd year or higher in an ETSII-URJC or ETSIT-URJC degree (2 points)
- Having passed the subject of Computer Networks in some university degree or training cycle (1 point)

The course is organized by the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering at King Juan Carlos University. The director of the course is Dr. C廥ar C塶eres Taladriz, a tenured professor at the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering.
Duration and Development
The course is an interactive university extension course with 6 credits and 0 contact hours. The course will be delivered at URJC + Cisco Networking Academy, with classes held on Tuesday and Thursday from 16:00 to 19:00 p.m.
Reservation of Place and Enrollment
The pre-registration period is from November 11, 2025, to February 2, 2026. The enrollment deadline is also from November 11, 2025, to February 2, 2026. The title price is 250, and there is no possibility of a scholarship.
