Program Overview


Program Overview

The Expert in IUCLID-6 and REACH-IT as tools for the creation and presentation of registration of chemical substances is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and regulate chemical products effectively.


Presentation

Chemical substances are ubiquitous in our daily lives and contribute significantly to the well-being and prosperity of our society. However, some chemicals can pose serious harm to the environment and human health if not used correctly. The importance of good management and regulation of chemical products cannot be overstated, with political frameworks being implemented worldwide to address these concerns.


Objectives

The program aims to achieve the following objectives:


  • Know the IUCLID 6 tool.
  • Practically carry out a review of the information necessary to carry out a registration file.
  • Know how to notify the classification and labeling of a dangerous substance.
  • Use REACH IT.
  • Navigate in REACH IT.

Competences

The program focuses on developing both general and specific competences:


General Skills

  • Utilize main computer tools to evaluate REACH Regulation records.

Specific Skills

  • IUCLID program management.
  • Management of REACH-It, Ecotoc-tra, and Chesar.
  • Management of toxicological databases.

Programme

The program curriculum includes:


  • IUCLID-6 REGISTRATION FILE.
  • IUCLID-6- Classification and labeling notification.
  • Reach-it.
  • ECETOC-TRA and CHESAR. ECHA.CHEM.
  • Practical cases.
  • TEAMS Session.

Recipients

The program is designed for graduate or graduate students from diverse fields of knowledge, including biology, environmental sciences, medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, environmental engineering, geology, food science and technology, veterinary science, and other related degrees. Exceptionally, students who are short of 30 credits to finish their Degree and/or only short of the TFG may be accepted, subject to the director's approval.
