Program Overview


Program Overview

The EXPERT IN CLP REGULATION (CLASSIFICATION, LABELING, AND PACKAGING OF SUBSTANCES AND MIXTURES) AND NEW MODIFICATIONS program is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the management and regulation of chemical products.


Objectives

The program aims to:


  • Know the general objectives of the CLP, its scope of application, and modifications.
  • Know the labeling that corresponds to each mixture.
  • Apply the corresponding hazard communication tool in each case.
  • Know the pictograms, words, and indications of danger.
  • Classify and label with the new CLP system.
  • Translate the classification of Directive 67/548/EEC to the CLP classification.
  • Apply the classification criteria with real examples.

Programme

The program consists of the following topics:


  1. Know the general objectives of the CLP and its scope of application.
  2. CLP modifications. Delegated Regulation 2022/692.
  3. Know the labeling that corresponds to each mixture.
  4. Apply the corresponding hazard communication tool in each case.
  5. Know the pictograms, words, and indications of danger.
  6. Translate the classification of Directive 67/548/EEC to the CLP classification.
  7. Apply classification criteria with real examples.
  8. European ecological label.
  9. TEAMS session and practical case.
  10. What are endocrine disruptors and how do they act?
  11. What substances are involved. Classification.
  12. Categorization of EDs: endocrine disruption for human health and endocrine disruption for the environment.
  13. Identification of endocrine disruptors: in vitro, in vivo (aquatic environment) and mammalian evaluation protocols.
  14. Endocrine disruptors and their inclusion in the CLP Regulation.
  15. TEAMS videoconferences. Practical cases.
  16. Final exam.

The program is designed for graduate or graduate students from diverse fields such as biology, environmental sciences, medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, environmental engineering, geology, food science and technology, veterinary science, and related disciplines.
