Introduction to the Degree in Early Childhood Education
The Degree in Early Childhood Education at the Rey Juan Carlos University is designed to train teachers in early childhood education, capable of operating in different contexts and adapting to social, cultural, scientific, technological, and educational changes.
Objectives of the Degree
The fundamental objective of the degree is to train competent early childhood education teachers at all levels of the stage and in all areas of the curriculum. Competences Acquired

Curriculum
The curriculum of the degree is structured into four years, with a total of 240 credits. The subjects are divided into basic formation, compulsory, optional, academic recognition of credits, external internships, and final degree project.
Admission Requirements
Access to the degree requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and passing the university entrance exam. There are no special requirements for admission.

Minimum Stay Requirements
The maximum stay for full-time students is eight years, and part-time students may request an extension of up to two more years. Students must pass a minimum of two subjects in the first year, and part-time students must pass at least one subject in their first academic year.

The external internship subjects of the degree are coordinated by the university each year, and students can apply for internships in schools in other autonomous communities or abroad.
