Evolving in Mindfulness: Consolidating and Embodying Your Training (2027)
Course Overview
This 7-day practice-based training is designed to strengthen competencies in communicating mindfulness practices in both personal and professional settings. The immersive training, delivered online, will further develop confidence in everyday mindful living and mindfulness-based teaching through a broader and deeper understanding of mindfulness and the ever-changing wider issues that impact the way we meet the world.
Course Objectives
The training has two overarching aims:
- Broadening skills and understanding beyond any previous Specialist Training by further exploring key themes within mindfulness and ways of effectively relating these to others.
- Deepening skills and understanding by:
- A principle-led training framed on the 6 MBI-TAC Domains (rather than being limited to any particular 8-week curriculum)
- Offering masterclass style mentoring for guiding the main formal mindfulness practices (Body Scan, Movement, and Sitting) and the inquiry process linked to these
- Exploring and enhancing understanding of some of the main teaching themes as relevant to the particular teaching specialism chosen
Target Audience
This course is suitable for:
- Mindfulness teachers with experience of supervised teaching who wish to explore how to teach in a more embodied way
- Mindfulness teachers who wish to extend their repertoire of teaching contexts and populations with confidence and integrity and so be more responsive to our changing times
- Mindfulness teachers who wish to build on existing skills of guiding practices and inquiry
- Those training to convey mindfulness to others and guide mindfulness-based practice in a wide range of settings and contexts
