Course Duration and Schedule
The short course is delivered online over 3 days on the following dates:
- January 2027: Friday, 8th (6:30 7:30 pm), Sunday, 10th Tuesday, 11th (9:30 am 5:00 pm), and Wednesday (9:30 11:00 am).
Tutor
- Dr. Sophie Sansom: Sophie is the co-director of the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University. As a senior lecturer, Sophie teaches on the master's program and is passionate about social and environmental ventures, having recently co-developed the Inner Change Works (ICW) program. As the founder of SiTT (Support for Integrity in Teaching and Training), Sophie has established community development and professional standards frameworks in the field. After co-developing an innovative way to achieve recognition for the new MBP curriculum, Sophie now chairs the international recognition panel of the European Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (EAMBA). With her academic work leading in terms of scholarship and developing mindfulness-based interventions, Sophie's work explores ways to support educational innovation and accessibility while maintaining quality and integrity; this is a key part of her work as chair of the British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA).

Admission Requirements
Pre-requisites for attendance:
- Participants must have been regularly practicing mindfulness for at least six months using practices consistent with mindfulness-based approaches.
- Participating in an eight-week mindfulness-based program would be beneficial, and it is a requirement for anyone teaching a mindfulness-based curriculum.
- Attending a Foundations mindfulness-based training or equivalent.
- DS: This training is not based on the curriculum. If you wish to teach mindfulness-based curriculum programs as part of this approach, you will also need to complete the relevant Curriculum Specialist (e.g., MBSR, MBCT).
Participants must commit to the entire online training. Unless under exceptional circumstances, we cannot agree to anyone arriving late or leaving early. If this is not possible, please contact us to discuss before submitting an application.
