Program Overview
Introduction to the Program
The BEng (Hons) Engineering program at Bangor University is a three-year full-time course that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue a career in engineering.

Admission Requirements
- TGAU: grade B/5 in Mathematics, A-level (if the Level 3 qualification does not include Mathematics or Science).
- The offers are based on tariffs, 120-136 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification, including:
- A-levels: including grade C in Mathematics and grade C in Physics (or Electronics or another Science subject. General Studies and Key Skills are not normally accepted).
- BTEC National Extended Diploma in Engineering: DDM-DDM.
- Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Engineering: DDM-DDM.
- City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Engineering: DDM-DDM.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: including H5 in Mathematics and Physics.
- Access: consideration on a case-by-case basis.
- Welsh Baccalaureate: consideration on a case-by-case basis.

The University offers a range of bursaries and scholarships to support students, including:
- The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Main Scholarship: Ł1,000 per year for up to three years for students studying 80 credits/66% of the year through the medium of Welsh.
- The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Incentive Scholarship: Ł500 per year for up to three years for students studying 40 credits/33% of the year through the medium of Welsh.
- The Welsh Language Bursary: Ł250 per year for students studying 40 credits/33% of the year through the medium of Welsh.
