Who is the course for?

It is suitable for senior leaders and senior managers (or those with responsibility for training and development in their job) who will use the knowledge, skills and confidence they gain to be effective trainers/mentors in their day-to-day work, making a difference to the results of their employees and their businesses.

What does the course cover?

The Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring enables participants to develop their understanding of coaching and mentoring and to build the skills necessary to put that knowledge into practice.

• The participants have the opportunity to review their own ability critically by undertaking practical tasks that add value.
• They will also critically review the role and contribution of training and mentoring from their own point of view and from the point of view of their organisations.
• The participants will plan, conduct and evaluate at least 12 hours of training sessions that will make a measurable difference to their trainee(s).

• In addition to the skills and abilities you will develop, you will receive an internationally recognized qualification together with transferable credits.
• All materials are included in the price.
• All learners will also receive six months student membership of the ILM free of charge (note that the registration fees with the ILM still apply).

What do I need?

• There are no formal entry requirements, but normally the participants are expected to be in senior management positions.
• Normally, they should have completed the ILM Level 5 qualification (or higher) in Management, or an equivalent qualification, but this is not mandatory.
• Consideration will also be given to applications from special learners, who do not have a formal qualification in the field of management or leadership, but who have had several years of practical experience and have had some formal training on the job.
