Program Overview
Introduction to the University Program
The CPD Recognition Scheme is Bangor University's direct route to HEA Fellowship. The university offers two pathways to AAU Fellowship: the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (PgCert THE) and the accredited Advance HE DPP Recognition Scheme.
Program Description
The PgCert THE is a training program for staff at the beginning of their career with less than two years of teaching experience in higher education. The DPP Recognition Scheme, on the other hand, is a direct pathway to AAU Fellowship for individuals with 2-3 years of experience in higher education, whose activities contribute to teaching and/or supporting learning at Bangor University.
Program Details
- The DPP Recognition Scheme enables applicants to accredit their teaching in accordance with the 2023 Professional Standards Framework (FfSP 2023), a globally recognized framework for benchmarking success in higher education teaching and learning.
- The scheme is designed for individuals who have contributed to teaching and/or supporting learning at Bangor University.
- The program includes an introduction to the scheme, Advance HE fellowship categories, FfSP 2023, and the application process.
- Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the second half of the session.
