Program Overview


Introduction to Engineering Camp

The Jackling Introduction to Engineering Camp is a summer program designed for high school students to explore various engineering fields. The camp is offered in three identical sessions throughout the summer.


Program Details

  • Date: June 14-18, 2026
  • Eligibility: Ages 15-18
  • Capacity: 150
  • Registration Fee: $650 (includes all meals, housing, and camp materials)

Camp Activities

The program includes:


  • Morning lectures and demonstrations on engineering disciplines
  • Afternoon visits to engineering departments, laboratories, and computer labs
  • Evening social activities, design competitions, and recreational events with other high school campers

Participants will have the opportunity to visit five academic engineering departments, including:

Transportation Policies

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. Shuttle services are available from St. Louis Lambert Airport to Rolla.


Registration Cancellation Policy

A $50 non-refundable fee applies to all cancellations. Persons wishing to cancel their registration must do so two weeks prior to the first day of the chosen program.


Campus Cancellation Policy

Missouri S&T reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registrations, severe weather, or natural disasters. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified, and all fees will be returned in full.
