Introduction to the Online Master of Science Degree in Geological Engineering

The Geological Engineering Program at the Missouri S&T is pleased to announce a new distance-based Master of Science Degree Program in Geological Engineering, specifically designed for Reserve Component Officers.

Program Requirements

Registrants in this engineering program must complete:

• Four shared credit courses
• Six additional three-credit hour core courses

Core Courses

The suite of six core courses was designed in consultation with ECCC-RC Program Administrators and includes:

• GE 344 Remote Sensing Technology
• GE 435 Advanced Concepts of Environmental Geological Engineering
• GE 441 Geotechnical Construction Practice
• GE 343 Subsurface Exploration
• GE 331 Subsurface Hydrology
• GE 400 Geological Engineering Capstone Course (Special Topics)

Program Details

The program is designed to provide a comprehensive education in geological engineering, with a focus on the needs of Reserve Component Officers. The curriculum is designed to be completed through distance-based learning, allowing students to balance their academic and professional responsibilities.
