Program Overview


Bachelor of Science in Psychology Program

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology provides a solid foundation in mathematics and science, with supporting courses in the humanities and social sciences, and requires the same psychology requirements as the Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology.


Curriculum Requirements

  • The program requires 45 hours or more to be at the 3000 or 4000 level.
  • English (Composition) requirements include:
    • English 1120 (3 hrs)
    • English 1160 (3 hrs)
  • Math and Science requirements include:
    • Statistics 1115 or 2001 (3 hrs)
    • Biological Science (3 hrs)
    • Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics, or Geology) (3 hrs)
    • Lab Course (1 hr)
    • Math and Science electives (10 hrs)
  • Humanities and Fine Arts requirements include:
    • English, Philosophy, Fine Art, Music, Theater, or Foreign Language (12 hrs in at least 2 areas)
  • Social Sciences requirements include:
    • Economics, History, or Political Science (12 hrs in at least 2 separate areas)
    • History 1200, History 1300, or History 1310, or Political Science 1200 must be taken to satisfy the Williams Law of the State of Missouri.

Experiential Learning

Experiential Learning (hours vary) must be completed to satisfy graduation requirements.
