Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering
The Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering program at Missouri S&T offers a PhD degree in Civil Engineering. This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to revitalize the nation's built and natural environments.
Degree Information
The doctor of engineering degree, like the doctor of philosophy degree, represents the highest attainable educational level in engineering study and practice. This degree is awarded to candidates who have pursued a broad program of study, completed an acceptable engineering internship, passed all prescribed examinations, submitted satisfactory practice-oriented dissertation, and met all graduation requirements. The D.E. degree requires a minimum of 90 graduate credit hours.
Paid Assistantships
Five assistantships are available, with tuition fully funded, plus a monthly stipend and $2,000 toward a new computer and academic needs. The application deadline is April 1, 2026, and eligibility is limited to U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents. The expected start date is Fall 2026.
