Course Offerings

• ERP 2110 Introduction to Enterprise Resource Planning: This course covers the fundamentals of ERP systems, including procurement, production, and sales business processes using ERP software, with a focus on SAP as an example ERP system. Prerequisite: IS&T 1750.
• ERP 3001 Special Topics: A variable-title course designed to test new topics in the department.
• ERP 4220 Introduction to Enterprise Decision Dashboard Prototyping: This course studies the design and implementation principles for enterprise decision dashboards, utilizing data warehouse and databases to support visual analytics, with tools such as SAP HANA & BW, Business Objects Dashboards, IBM Watson Analytics, and SAS Visual Analytics. Prerequisites: (ERP 2110 or ERP 5110) and one of ERP 5410, ERP 6444, or IS&T 6444.
• ERP 4610 Customer Relationship Management in ERP Environment: The course emphasizes customer relationship management, including identification, acquisition, retention, and development of customers, using information technology such as SAP CRM, SAS BI tools, and Sybase mobile application development. Prerequisite: ERP 2110 or preceded or accompanied by ERP 5110.
• ERP 5000 Special Problems: Problems or readings on specific subjects or projects in the department, requiring consent of instructor.
• ERP 5001 Special Topics: A course designed to test new topics in the department, with a variable title.
• ERP 5110 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Design and Implementation: This course provides a technical overview of ERP systems, their impact on organizations, and introduces SAP to illustrate concepts and fundamentals. Prerequisites: Preceded or accompanied by ERP 2110; or Graduate Standing and computer programming knowledge.
• ERP 5130 ERP in Small & Mid-Size Enterprises: Provides an overview of enterprise applications for small and midsize companies, introducing a leading platform such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or SAP Business One. Prerequisites: ERP 5110 or ERP 2110.
• ERP 5210 Performance Dashboard, Scorecard and Data Visualization: This course studies different performance management systems, including dashboards, management cockpit, scorecards, and strategy maps, using tools like SAP's BW, Business Objects Xcelsius, Crystal Reports, and Sybase Unwired Platform. Prerequisite: ERP 2110 or preceded or accompanied by ERP 5110.
• ERP 5240 Enterprise and Mobile Application Development: The course provides conceptual foundation and hands-on experience in web-based applications development deployed through an Enterprise and Mobile platform, using SAP Enterprise development tools. Prerequisites: Programming knowledge and either ERP 2110 or preceded or accompanied by ERP 5110.
• ERP 5310 Supply Chain Management Systems in an ERP Environment: This course studies the need for supply chain integration and managing complex interfaces, using systems approach for planning, analysis, design, development, and evaluation of supply chain, with tools like SAP's ERP ECC, SCM, BW, and Sybase Unwired Platform. Prerequisite: ERP 2110 or preceded or accompanied by ERP 5110.
• ERP 5410 Use of Business Intelligence: Introduces data-oriented techniques for business intelligence, including Business Intelligence architecture, Business Analytics, and Enterprise Reporting, using tools like SAP Business Information Warehouse, Business Objects, or similar. Prerequisites: IS&T 3423 or equivalent; ERP 2110 or preceded or accompanied by ERP 5110.
• ERP 5510 ERP System Administration: Studies system administration and performance monitoring practices for an ERP system, including installing an instance of an ERP system, establishing user management attributes, and system security. Prerequisite: ERP 5110.

• ERP 6120 Enterprise Resource Planning: Systems Config and Integration: Examines implementation and design practices for business processes in ERP systems, focusing on system configuration and integration using SAP ERP system. Prerequisite: ERP 5110.
• ERP 6220 Data Modeling & Visualization Prototyping for Enterprise Decision Dashboards: Studies integrating data modeling and visualization prototyping in design and implementation of enterprise decision dashboards for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, using tools like SAP HANA & BW, Design Studio, IBM Watson, and SAS Visual Analytics. Prerequisites: ERP 5110 and one of ERP 5410, ERP 6444, or IS&T 6444.
• ERP 6444 Essentials of Data Warehouses: Presents the topic of data warehouses and their value to organizations, focusing on simplicity and addressing user community needs, with a prerequisite of IS&T 3423 or equivalent relational database experience.
• ERP 6610 Advanced Customer Relationship Management in ERP Environment: Focuses on advanced customer relationship management, including identification, acquisition, retention, and development of customers, using IT, with tools like SAP CRM, SAS BI tools, and Sybase mobile application development, requiring a research paper and presentation.
