Program Overview
Introduction to the Bachelor of University Technology in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics
The Bachelor of University Technology in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics (GEII) is a professional program designed to train specialists in the fields of electricity, electronics, industrial informatics, and their applications.
Presentation of the Program
The GEII program offers two specializations:
- Automatisme and Industrial Informatics
- Electronics and Embedded Systems
Students in the GEII program will study the following main subjects: automation, radio communications, energy, networks, embedded systems, analog and digital signal processing, automatic control, sensors, software tools, and the design and implementation of electronic systems. Other general subjects include foreign languages (such as English), expression and communication, tutored projects, and the Personal and Professional Project of the Student.
Program Structure
The program includes a significant amount of practical work (TP) and directed work (TD), as well as tutored projects that allow students to confront real professional situations (600 hours). The total weekly hours for the program are approximately 32 hours.
The program includes several periods of internship: 8 to 12 weeks over the first four semesters and 12 to 16 weeks in the final year.
Admission
Prerequisites
The program is open to holders of the Baccalaureate or equivalent (Diploma of Access to University Studies or French or foreign diploma admitted in exemption). Admission is decided after a selection procedure and based on the institution's defined capacities.
