Program Overview

Master Mention Energie

The Master's program in Energy aims to better respond to the expectations of students and the socio-economic world by training executives skilled in energy technologies and techniques for the energy transition.

Presentation of the Formation

The objective of the Energy mention is to respond to the major challenge of energy transition, which aims to transform energy production, distribution, and consumption methods to reduce environmental impact. It brings together transdisciplinary skills that best meet the needs of the rapidly evolving energy sector.

Parcours

The Master's program offers 5 parcours:

  • Physique de l'Energie et de la Transition Energétique (PEnTE): Acquire knowledge and skills used in professions associated with electric energy production in conventional and renewable energy domains, industrial maintenance, nuclear safety, engineering, and materials, respecting energy transition.
  • Sciences et Technologies des Plasmas (STP): Concerns the physics and applications of cold plasmas, used in various industrial processes.
  • Dynamique des fluides Energétique et Transferts (DET): Forms students in fundamental knowledge and methods in fluid mechanics and energetics for solving industrial or academic research problems.
  • Gestion des Ressources Energétiques Efficacité Energétique Autoconsommation Intelligente en Réseaux (GREEN-AIR): Focuses on mastering the management of multi-source energies, energy efficiency, and the normative/legislative aspect.
  • Fluides pour l'Energie Durable (FLowERED): Aims at mastering fluids, transfers, and their coupling for energy transformation in a safe, efficient, and clean manner, with particular attention to hydrogen technologies and decarbonization processes.

Capacité d'accueil globale

The global capacity for access to the mention in 2026 is 92.

Partenariats

The program is co-accredited with several institutions, including the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INPT), Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Toulouse (INSA), Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (ISAE), and Institut Mines-Télécom Albi (IMT).

Et après ?

Compétences

Each parcours develops specific skills:

  • PEnTE: Analyze production data, realize safety analyses, identify technical improvement solutions, and supervise conformity and equipment functioning.
  • GREEN-AIR: Implement energy efficiency solutions, set up energy production, conversion, and distribution systems, apply energy legislation, and implement communicating sensor networks.
  • FLowERED: Design/optimize energy processes using fluids, conduct hybridization projects with other energy sources, develop models through numerical simulation, and design experimental prototypes.
  • DET: Model and design fluid and thermal systems for innovation and research, mobilize theoretical knowledge in fluid mechanics and energetics, and conduct technological improvement or innovation projects.
  • STP: Implement plasma characterization techniques, design plasma systems in complex environments, identify and implement appropriate plasma technologies, and identify and implement plasmas adapted to different applications.
