Program Overview

Introduction to the DIU Immunopathology Program

The DIU Immunopathology program is a comprehensive educational initiative designed to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to tackle immunopathological challenges. This program is particularly relevant in today's medical landscape, given the emergence of chronic diseases and the advancements in immunotherapy.

Presentation of the Formation

The DIU Immunopathology formation is structured to provide a transversal approach to immunopathology, catering to the needs of various medical specialties. It aims to offer a detailed understanding of the physiological and pathological aspects of the immune system, enabling participants to manage patients effectively and utilize innovative therapies.

Objectives

  • To understand how the immune system interacts with other bodily systems to maintain homeostasis.
  • To identify the different phases of the immune response and the mechanisms of immune cell activation.
  • To comprehend the methods and principles of immunological tools used for diagnosis and patient follow-up.
  • To know the pathogenic mechanisms and management of autoimmune or inflammatory diseases specific to organs, systemic autoimmune diseases, auto-inflammatory pathologies, primary and secondary immune deficiencies, complement pathologies, and the mechanisms involved in hematopoietic stem cell and organ transplantation.
  • To acquire the knowledge necessary for implementing immunotherapies in immunology.
  • To understand the fundamental immunological principles of vaccination.
