Program Overview

Introduction to Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling

The Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (TCCM) programme is a comprehensive academic training initiative that encompasses two primary academic tracks: a Master's and a Doctorate. This programme is specifically designed to be completed over a two-year period and is offered through a consortium of seven esteemed European partner universities.

Programme Overview

The TCCM programme is tailored to equip students with the expertise necessary to utilize and develop computational techniques within the realm of molecular sciences. The primary objective of this Master's programme is to prepare students for lucrative careers in pivotal sectors such as pharmaceutical innovation, the petrochemical industry, and the burgeoning new materials industry. Furthermore, this programme serves as a foundational stepping stone for students aspiring to pursue doctoral studies in disciplines including chemistry, physics, and life and material sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered eligible for the TCCM programme, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following certifications:
    • TOEFL score of at least 213/500, 65/120, or 513/677.
    • IELTS score of at least 6.
    • First Cambridge Certificate attesting to at least a B2 level.

Scholarships

Scholarships for the TCCM programme are generously awarded by the following universities:

  • Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain)
  • University of Toulouse (France)
  • University of Valencia (Spain) These scholarships comprehensively cover tuition fees, travel expenses, relocation costs, as well as a monthly living allowance for the duration of the Master's programme.

Participating Universities

The TCCM programme is collaboratively offered by the following seven European universities:

  • Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain (coordinating institution)
  • Universitat de Valencia, Spain
  • Universitť Paul Sabatier - Toulouse III, France
  • University of Groningen, The Netherlands
  • Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium
  • University of Perugia, Italy
  • University of Porto, Portugal

Research Areas
