Overview
The DU Pharmacie Clinique ŕ l'Officine et en Inter-Professionnalité en Soins Primaires is a university diploma program designed for pharmacists. The program aims to provide pharmacists with the knowledge and skills necessary to deploy new missions in clinical pharmacy, particularly in primary care.
Presentation of the Formation
This program is intended for pharmacists and has the objective of imparting the knowledge and skills required for the deployment of new pharmacy clinical missions in primary care. It covers all the missions currently contracted with the National Health Insurance system and also presents ongoing national experiments, such as those under Article 51. The program allows pharmacists to validate and be certified for the exhaustiveness of these new missions.
Admission
Prerequisites
- In Initial Training: Students in the 3rd cycle (DES/DESC) of pharmaceutical studies currently enrolled at the University of Toulouse or in a French university, Chiefs of Clinic and AHU of the Toulouse University Hospital, and individuals with the status of FFI (Faisant Fonction d'Interne) assigned to a University Hospital in France.
- In Continuing Education: Holders of a French, European Union, or non-European Union Doctor of Pharmacy diploma.
Application Modalities
Applications should be sent by email with the following documents:
- Letter of motivation/professional project + CV + copy(ies) of diploma(s) allowing access to the requested diploma
- Copy(ies) of justificatory documents allowing access to initial training (e.g., certificate of schooling)
- Calendar for depositing applications: from May 15th to September 15th

Generalities
The program is divided into two main parts:
- Prevention and Screening
- Vaccination (update of knowledge, delivery of attestation of training for prescription and/or vaccination gesture)
- Rapid Diagnostic Orientation Test (TROD) for uncomplicated acute cystitis and angina in adults and children
- Delivery of the Colorectal Cancer Screening Kit
- Interview with pregnant women
- Prevention and accompaniment of patients with sleep disorders and/or psychological disorders
- Fragility, preservation of functions - Accompaniment of successful aging (ICOPE)
- My Prevention Assessment
- Optimization of Medication Management
- Shared Medication Review for patients over 65 years old
- Pharmaceutical interviews in oncology
- Pharmaceutical interviews in diabetology
- Pharmaceutical interviews in pneumology
- Accompaniment "Opioids"
- Clinical pharmacy and medical devices
- Situations: prevention, accompaniment of chronic diseases, identification, and prevention of errors
- Serious Game: "The Office of Errors"
- Presentation of cases by learners
Pedagogical Team
The program is taught by a team of pharmacists and medical professionals, including:
- Pr Philippe Cestac - PUPH Pharmacist
- Dr Mathilde Strumia - AHU Pharmacist
- And several other professionals from various medical and pharmaceutical backgrounds.
Modalities
- Methods and Means: Theoretical contributions in the form of courses with case studies, round tables, practical contributions, and situation-based training.
- Evaluation: Assiduity, written and oral final exams.
After the Program
Competences
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Affirm themselves as health professionals involved in health promotion, prevention, and screening of acute or chronic diseases frequently encountered in primary care.
- Accompany patients with chronic diseases throughout their care pathway by mobilizing clinical expertise and conducting regular pharmaceutical interviews.
- Acquire skills in optimizing therapeutic management of patients in the areas of medication, medical devices, and complementary hygienic-dietary measures.
- Take charge of a patient throughout their life, mobilizing all devices contracted with the national health insurance, both in preventive and curative plans.
- Master general pharmaceutical interview techniques and adapt to each patient in a personalized medicine logic.
- Know how to work in a team in primary care and interact with specialist health professionals.
- Engage in an organizational transformation of the pharmacy to deploy new missions while ensuring traditional pharmacy missions.
Inscriptions
Cost of the Formation
- Continuing Education: University registration fees 178 + training fees 2400 . A tariff reduction may be considered based on the applicant's status.
- Initial Training: University registration fees 300 (+ 34 if no other registration is in progress at the UT + 105 of CVEC if not already acquired). Tariffs are given for information and may be reevaluated each year.
Modalities of Registration
- Continuing Education: After a favorable opinion from the teacher in charge of the formation, the applicant will be contacted by the MFCA manager to indicate the administrative registration procedures.
- Initial Training: After validation of the pedagogical authorization of registration, the applicant will be contacted by the SUDPC2S manager to indicate the administrative registration procedures.
It is imperative to be administratively registered before the start of the teachings.
