AEU Imagerie Maxillo-Faciale Cone Beam CT

Overview

The AEU Imagerie Maxillo-Faciale Cone Beam CT is a university program designed to provide competence to dentists who use or wish to use cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes.


Presentation of the Formation

This formation conforms to the nomenclature requiring training for CBCT users. It aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for the optimal use of CBCT technology in dental practices.


Admission

Pre-requisites

  • In Initial Training: Students in the 3rd cycle of long-term dental surgery and chiefs of clinics and AHU of Toulouse.
  • In Continuing Education: Doctors in Dental Surgery holding a French or European Union diploma registered with the Council of the Order in France.

Candidature

  • Modalities of Candidature: Application form, with a deadline for submission.
  • Specific Modalities of Candidature: Prior authorization from the teacher in charge, who decides after examining the dossier.

  • Principle of CBCT operation
  • JOLI principle applied to CBCT: justification, optimization, and notions of doses and fields of exploration
  • Latest technological advances in CBCT software and hardware
  • 3D radio-anatomy through clinical cases
  • Systematizing the reading of a CBCT exam
  • CBCT in its main indications in oral medicine: implantology, included teeth, endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics
  • Making a structured report of a CBCT small and medium field

Cost of the Formation

  • In Continuing Education: University registration fees 178 + formation fees 350
  • In Initial Training: University registration fees 300 (+ 34 if no other registration at UT + 105 CVEC if not already paid)

Modalities of Inscription

  • Continuing Education: After a favorable opinion from the teacher in charge, administrative registration procedures will be communicated.
  • Initial Training: After validation of the pedagogical authorization of registration, administrative registration procedures will be communicated.
