Admission Requirements

Study Results

Upon completing the program, graduates will be able to:


  • Professionally analyze and create various genres of texts and media products in Russian, effectively communicating in writing and speech, considering the communication situation.
  • Analyze and evaluate media language phenomena in a broad linguistic and intercultural context, identifying hidden meanings in multimodal media content.
  • Understand and evaluate the role of generative AI in changing the field of mass communication; experiment with various query formats and concepts to optimize AI-generated content.
  • Independently select a relevant media linguistics or interdisciplinary problem, conduct research, and present the results to various audiences.
  • Identify and evaluate their own and others' cultural identities and attitudes, cooperating with people of different cultures to achieve common goals.

Financing

The annual tuition fee for studying in a non-state-funded place is 5,538 EUR.


Scholarships

Vilniaus Universitetas students can apply for scholarships for excellent academic achievements, active research, sports, or social activities, as well as social support for students in difficult life situations.


State-Supported Loans

Students can use state-supported loans, which are provided according to the procedure established by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. These loans are intended to help finance studies and living expenses during the study period.


Reduction of Tuition Fees

Tuition fees can be reduced in certain cases, such as:


  • Active research activity: up to 100% reduction, depending on achievements.
  • Active cultural activity: up to 90% reduction, depending on achievements.
  • Active sports: up to 100% reduction, depending on sports achievements.
  • University employees: up to 70% reduction, if working at the University for at least 10 months.

Compensation of Tuition Fees

This is an opportunity for students to refund part or all of the paid tuition fees for excellent academic results.
