Program Plan
The program focuses on providing students with a comprehensive understanding of mass communication principles and the contemporary media context. Students will learn to analyze current political, economic, cultural, and artistic facts and phenomena, and present them using analytical journalism genres. The program aims to develop skills necessary for working in modern traditional and multi-platform media organizations, fostering analytical thinking, and the ability to conduct research in communication, information, and journalism sciences.
Admission Requirements

- Previous Studies: Applicants must have a university bachelor's degree or a professional bachelor's (college) degree with additional studies, depending on the program's admission requirements.
- Foreign Qualifications: If the qualification is obtained abroad, the same admission requirements apply. Vilnius University has the right to recognize foreign university diplomas, so there is no need to apply elsewhere.
Application Process
- Check Admission Requirements: Ensure you meet the program's admission requirements.
- Submit an Application: Applications are submitted through the VU Admission System (VU ISAS). Admission to master's studies takes place in three stages. After the first stage, each subsequent stage can only accept applications for remaining vacancies.
- Pay the Application Fee: The application fee is EUR 50.00 for those who have graduated from a higher education institution in Lithuania and EUR 100.00 for those who have graduated from a foreign higher education institution.
- Register Documents: If your diploma was not automatically transferred, you must upload electronic copies of the required documents.
