The English Philology and Public Relations program is designed for those who wish to become exceptional professionals in communication and English language. During the studies, students will acquire not only in-depth knowledge of English language, literature, and philological research but also practical skills necessary for a modern specialist. Program Plan

The program combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring comprehensive philological and professional preparation. The curriculum includes:

• English language structure and usage
• Cultural contexts, civilization of English-speaking countries, and contemporary discourse phenomena
• Analysis of new media
• English and American literature

• Public relations competencies, including management, marketing, leadership, and project planning

Admission Requirements

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Pass at least 3 state exams (Lithuanian language and literature, mathematics, and one elective subject)
  • Exam results must meet the basic achievement level (average of 3 state exam scores must be at least 50 points)
• Additional Requirements: May include additional diploma recognition and/or grade conversion, and submission of additional documents for extra points

Competitive Score

• Subjects and Coefficients:
  • Lithuanian Language and Literature: Exam, coefficient 0.4
  • History or Geography or Mathematics or Informatics or Foreign Language: Exam or annual grade (A level), coefficient 0.2

Additional Points

Additional points can be added to the competitive score for achievements demonstrating activity, knowledge, and initiative, such as winning places in olympiads or contests, high-grade graduation thesis, volunteering, or other significant achievements.

Application Steps

2. Check for Additional Requirements: Ensure you meet the minimum requirements and check if any additional requirements apply to you.
3. Submit an Application via LAMA BPO: During the general admission period, applications are submitted through the LAMA BPO system.
4. Wait for an Invitation to Study and Sign a Contract: After receiving an invitation, pay the registration fee and sign the study contract within the specified deadline.

• Conduct philological research independently, using theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and utilize modern technologies for text translation and editing.
• Create content suitable for the target audience, prepare and successfully implement creative public relations projects.
• Communicate effectively in international and culturally diverse environments, creating and implementing innovative public relations campaigns that meet the needs of the modern labor market.

Scholarships

Vilnius University students can apply for scholarships for excellent academic performance, active scientific, sports, or social activities, as well as social support for students in difficult life situations.

State-Supported Loans

Students can use state-supported loans, which are provided according to the procedure established by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. These loans are intended to help finance studies and living expenses during the study period.

Compensation of Study Costs

This is an opportunity for students to refund part or all of the paid study costs for high academic achievements.

Reduction of Study Fees

Study fees can be reduced in the following cases:

• Active Scientific Activity: Reduction can range from 30% to 100%, depending on achievements.
• Active Cultural Activity: Reduction can range from 30% to 90%, depending on achievements.
• Active Sports: Reduction can range from 30% to 100%, depending on sports achievements.
• University Employees: Reduction can be up to 70% for university employees working at least half a year without interruption.
