Program Plan

The program's content is designed to lead students from theoretical knowledge to practical application. It begins with the basics of anatomy, histology, and embryology, psychology, education, sociology, and health law, and progresses to pharmacology, professional language, and ethics. The program also covers sexual health, genetics, critical conditions, anesthesiology, and pediatric gynecology, providing a solid foundation for professional clinical practice and a bachelor's thesis.


Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • For those who acquired secondary education in 2026:
      • Pass at least 3 state exams (Lithuanian language and literature, mathematics, and one elective subject).
      • The average of the three state exam scores must be at least 50.
    • For those who acquired secondary education before 2026, check the requirements according to your year of education.

Competitive Score

The competitive score is calculated based on the following subjects and their coefficients:

Additional Points

Additional points can be added to the competitive score for achievements demonstrating activity, knowledge, and initiative, such as winning places in olympiads or competitions, high-grade graduation work, volunteering, or other significant achievements. Up to 2.5 additional points can be added when applying for state-funded, non-state-funded with a scholarship, or non-state-funded places.


Application Steps

  1. Choose a Study Program: Familiarize yourself with all the bachelor's and integrated study programs and their requirements. Evaluate your interests, strengths, and professional ambitions.
  2. Check for Additional Requirements: For most applicants, it's enough to know the composition of the competitive score and meet the minimum requirements. However, in some cases, additional diploma recognition and/or grade conversion may be required.
  3. Submit an Application through LAMA BPO: During the general admission period, applications are submitted through the LAMA BPO system.
  4. Wait for an Invitation to Study and Sign a Contract: After receiving an invitation to study, first, you need to pay the registration fee. The study contract must be signed by the deadline; otherwise, the invitation to study becomes invalid.

Study Results

Upon completing this program, graduates will be able to:


  • Consult women of all age groups, care for pregnant women, perform antenatal examinations, and ensure women's health care.
  • Understand the process of normal childbirth, lactation physiology, and be able to provide midwifery, newborn, and infant care.
  • Independently care for low-risk pregnancies, accept normal childbirth, and in emergency cases, perform breech presentations.
  • Identify hazardous conditions, emotional and psychological disorders, prepare women for examinations and interventions, and perform or assist in procedures.
  • Organize reproductive health care and consult on family planning, breastfeeding, and infant care.

Financing

  • Annual Tuition Fee for Non-State Funded Places: 4500 EUR
  • Scholarships: Available for excellent academic performance, active scientific, sports, or social activities, and for students in difficult life situations.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Akuerija program can work in healthcare institutions of all levels, including hospitals, polyclinics, state and private healthcare institutions, and social care institutions. Potential employers are heads of healthcare institutions or their authorized representatives, who are also involved as social partners in the Akuerijos studij programos committee, participating in its activities and deciding on academic and methodological issues.
