About the Program
The updated Economics and Finance study program focuses on the development of strong competencies in three areas: economics, finance and data analysis. Economics and finance studies are inseparable from good data analytics skills, as every company currently generates massive amounts of data, the professional analysis of which ensures strong market positions and sustainable business development.
Program Educated Competencies
- By applying modern methods of quantitative analysis, you will be able to analyze and evaluate various economic and financial phenomena, their regularities, interrelationships and causes.
- You will learn about global problems such as climate change, hunger, poverty, regional differentiation according to income, health inequality, etc.
- You will know commercial and central banking, the activities of financial institutions and financial technologies.
- You will be able to propose economic policy measures based on economic and financial calculations and arguments.
- You will be able to perform economic and financial analysis of companies, organizations and sectors.
- You will acquire the skills necessary for independent management of personal finances.
- You will be able to work in a team and develop leadership competencies, following the principles of ethics and social responsibility.
Distinction of studies
During each subject, theoretical lectures are combined with practical sessions, which are carried out in the form of seminars, discussions, writing group projects, and case studies. Economics studies particularly encourage teamwork, which helps students develop responsibility and leadership competencies that are highly valued in the labor market.

Price and Finance
- Annual tuition fee: 3300 EUR
- The dean of the faculty can allow the tuition fee to be paid in installments or postpone the payment of the tuition fee.
- State-sponsored loans: students can receive state-sponsored loans to pay tuition fees, living expenses, and part-time studies according to international (inter-agency) agreements.
- Reduction of fees for studies: for students actively participating in the University's cultural activities, sports activities and representing the University, participating in the University's scientific activities or studying fewer credits than provided for in the study plan, the tuition fee may be reduced by the decision of the Dean of the Faculty.
- Scholarships: The university awards students an incentive scholarship, a one-time social scholarship, a one-time targeted scholarship, a nominal scholarship, and a 450th anniversary scholarship.
