Program Overview
Introduction to the ISICP Program
The College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science aims to cultivate professional leaders with potential in the semiconductor industry through the ISICP program. This two-year international industry-academia master's program collaborates with renowned semiconductor enterprises to establish a curriculum centered on hands-on learning in semiconductor processing technologies and integrated circuit design.

Academics
Courses
The program offers two primary specialization tracks: Semiconductor Devices and Semiconductor Design. Students work closely with their advisors to select courses that align with both their research objectives and the practical demands of the industry.
Coursework Requirements
- 24 credits (equivalent of 12 courses)
- 4 credits of Mandarin Chinese courses for international students Students must meet the minimum requirements to graduate from the program.
Language Support
The NTHU Chinese Language Center provides various Mandarin courses for NTHU international students. Details of the requirements can be found on the CLC's website. The CLC also offers intensive Mandarin courses for students who want to quickly advance their listening, writing, speaking, and reading skills.
Admissions
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree with a strong background equivalent to Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or engineering-related
- International Students (Individuals who meet the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan)
Scholarship and Costs
Scholarship
The program is funded by the National Development Fund, Executive Yuan, with additional support from corporate sponsors. Most students enrolled in the program are eligible to receive scholarships for up to two years (four semesters). The standard duration of the program is capped at two years, and extensions beyond this period will not be covered by the program or corporate sponsorship.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees are updated and displayed on the Division of Cashier's website. Graduate students who earn credits beyond the minimum graduation requirements set by their department will not be charged for the excess credits.

The program is administered by the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with a faculty composed of experts in the field of semiconductor and IC design.
