Program Overview
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Concentration in Management
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in management roles.
University-Wide Requirements
Students must complete 9-15 units of university-wide requirements, including:
- American Institutions (0-6 units): US History, US Government, California State and Local Government requirements if not met pre-transfer
- Upper-Division GE Areas 2UD/5UD, 3UD, and 4UD (9 units): Courses required for the major may double-count if approved for UD GE
- Students entering the major with the AS-T in Business Administration with a concentration in Management are not required to fulfill SF State Studies requirements
Major Requirements
The major requires 48-51 units, including:
- Prerequisites (0-3 units): ISYS 263 if not met in transfer
- Upper-division core courses for Business majors (27 units)
- Concentration (21 units) MGMT 605, MGMT 648, MGMT 610; and four Concentration Electives
University Electives
Students must complete 3 or more units of university electives, depending on course choices made at the community college, how transferred units are applied to the requirements above, and course choices at SF State.

- First Semester: BUS 300GW, IBUS 330, ISYS 263, MGMT 405, GE Area 5UD or 2UD
- Second Semester: FIN 350, ISYS 363, MGMT 605, MGMT 648, Select One (GE 3UD, USH, USG/CSLG)
- Third Semester: DS 412, MKTG 431, MGMT 610, Major Concentration Elective
- Fourth Semester: BUS 682, BUS 690, Major Concentration Elective, University Elective
