The College of Ethnic Studies
The College of Ethnic Studies was established in Fall 1969 as the School of Ethnic Studies. It was renamed a college in the Spring semester of 1994. It is the only autonomous Ethnic Studies college in the nation. In 1988 the College initiated the nation's first Master of Arts degree-granting program in Ethnic Studies.
