Program Overview

MBA Flexible or Fast-Track Programs

Overview

The MBA program offers flexible schedules that work for part-time or full-time students. Most classes are delivered in a hybrid format, allowing students to work full-time and attend classes in person once a week. Online prerequisite courses are conveniently offered asynchronously, enabling students to take courses at any time.

Flexible Class Schedule

  • Most of our classes are delivered in a hybrid format, which is 50% in-person and 50% online.
  • Some elective courses may be offered completely in person.
  • Most online prerequisite courses are offered asynchronously, allowing students to take courses at any time of day or night, any day of the week.
  • A sample schedule for the MBA Flexible - Part-Time program is as follows:
    • FIN 819 - Financial Analysis & Management: 5 - 6:15 p.m., Tuesdays, Hybrid
    • MKTG 858: Innovation for Sustainability: 6:30 - 7:45 p.m., Tuesdays, Hybrid

Admissions

  • Students may enroll full-time or part-time in the MBA program.
  • All undergraduate majors are considered for the MBA program.
  • Applicants who have completed a four-year bachelor's degree in business from an AACSB-accredited school within seven years from the start date of the MBA program, with at least a 3.0 GPA in the last 60-semester or 90-quarter units of coursework, may waive all 700-level MBA courses.
  • Applicants who have completed coursework equivalent to any of the prerequisite courses at other institutions within the last five to seven years may be able to waive individual prerequisite courses.

Degree Requirements

  • To earn an MBA, students must attend an orientation that includes professional development workshops.
  • Students must complete eight 700-level Business courses (or less, depending on how many courses are waived) plus ten Advanced Requirement courses.
  • The Advanced Requirements consist of required courses and elective courses.
  • For detailed information about MBA course requirements, refer to the University Bulletin or view the MBA course requirement chart.
